Our Community
DMA is once again accepting dance donations for refugee families in need who wish to dance. Thank you to longtime DMA student Tasha P. for spearheading this initiative. Items can be dropped off at either location.
We’re having a blast dancing, singing, creating, and making lasting memories all summer long at our DMA camps and intensives!
Our students took bold steps toward growth, adventure, and artistry this summer by immersing themselves in intensives across the country that challenge and inspire. We love watching them stretch, evolve, and shine in new environments. We checked in to hear how these experiences inspired them, and here’s what they had to say...
“I have been learning so much at the John Cranko School intensive! It has been so fun learning to live alone and navigate New York!” -Aria G.
“The CRB summer intensive has taught me the difference between knowing something and understanding something.” -Emma N.
”This may have been my first time going to the 4 weeks of International Dance Experience:
Ruth Page, but it’s DEFINITELY not going to be my last! Also, I believe the 2 weeks of JS12 at Joffrey Ballet advanced
my technique while also allowing me to make new connections.” -Maya M.
“I’m performing in Fiddler on the Roof with Charlie and absolutely loving the experience with professional theater. I’m already thinking about future auditions! Also, I did the CRB Junior intensive and it really helped refine my turnout and the details I needed in ballet. I loved it! Next year, I definitely want to do more intensives.” -Jojo K.
“The Hubbard Street Teen Create summer intensive expanded my artistry and my choreographic skills.” -Neela M.
“I was fortunate to experience the fun city of Nashville while doing what I love most every day, learning from the best, and meeting new people during the Nashville Ballet Summer Intensive!” -Avery M.
"I attended Milwaukee Ballet's Summer Intensive enjoyed meeting people from other countries and hearing about their dance experiences” -Paige Z.
"Being part of this year's Chicago Repertory Ballet Summer Intensive has pushed me to work even harder on my ballet technique, and has opened my eyes to the world of professional dance." -Kathryn B.

If your dancer has sensory needs or requires adjustments, please don’t hesitate to reach out; we’re here to help every dancer feel at home.
